How to Make an Oat Meal Tin Camera |
|
It's been nearly four years since last time I update the information for this project. I received many emails asking how to load the film. Now let's show you how to load the film. |
|
Step 15: |
|
1. To load the film you must inside dark room or use changing bag.
I used to bring the changing bag with the camera so that whenever I want to take pinhole photo, I can load and unload the film. |
2. Many people love to use photo paper for ease of use and more economic but I prefer use 4x5 B & W film as it can have better quality. No matter you load the film in the darkroom or inside the changing bag, the method is the same. |
3. All film have a notch at one corner. Use your right hand to find the corner (with the notch) and than hold the film as the below photo, the film emulsion side is now facing you. The film emulsion side is always facing the lens or the pinhole (unless you want to do something very special!) |

***This is made from a can for Chinese Tea, I made two pinholes with this camera for some of my projects. |
4. Insert the film into the can and press it until it rest on the wall of the can. |
It
is because of the fiction of the felt, the film can fit into the wall
of the can easily. |
|
5. Then cover the lid of the can and you are ready to take pinhole photos. Good Luck! |
