The wooden parts (fashioned from quality Thai teak wood) are first kiln dried and then machine milled into correct size. Matte black paint is applied to the interior of the camera to prevent internal reflections. All inner edges of the camera are covered with a black velvet lining which helps to prevent light leaks even in bright sunlight.
More than 15 layers of coating is applied by hand to the camera, to insure maximum protection of the wood.
Now very very few pinhole manufacturer willing/able to product camera with this kind of coating because of the far higher requirement in skill and the very long production time.
Even a screw inside the camera, we use matt black Baking Paint to coat the bolt and the bottom of the nut in order to reduce internal reflections.
